Warded to Douglas, Sarah, and Gretchen via Dict-a-quill

Warded to Gretchen, Douglas, and Sarah
The healer insisted that I could not leave tonight as she could not trust me to refrain from moving and using my hand and arm. At least I complained enough (as politely as possible) about the cheap quality dict-a-quill that I have been given one that is far more suitable. Remind me to send flowers when I am out of here to thank this particular Healer for being so patient with me and putting up with my long rambles about proper punctuation and the necessities of such.

We were there, prepared. Thank everything that is precious in this life that we were there and ready for them. I half expected they wouldn't show up, it seemed too predictable and up until this point they had done nothing that followed a discernible pattern; nothing that could be so easily predicted. There were many people still that ended up injured and worse, but we were there, and it could have been worse.

As for me, I've seen better days and I have seen worse. Not that I am keen on reminding you of the worse ones... My stay here, being healed, has more to do with the fact that many of the bones in my wrist and hand ended up shattered, and many in the same arm broken. The Death Eater was trying to disarm me by making it impossible to use my wand hand, though I too stubborn to give up. It was when a second managed a leg-locking hex, unexpectedly, and unnoticed until I was already on my way to the ground... let's just say landing on an already broken hand is what the Healer supposes shattered the bones.

Let me reiterate, however, that is far worse sounding than it is. Sure I am forced to drink some awful tasting potions, and forced to keep my arm and hand still as the bones are mended and shifted back in their proper place... but I will be out of here sooner rather than later; though clearly not soon enough.

The cuts are mostly healed over, the bruises will fade... etc... I don't think the Healer realises that I have paperwork to fill out at work regarding today's events nor does she realise that the Trainees need a Trainer and missing work simply won't do. The more time I am in here, the less time I have to research and hunt down the masked bastards

Oh, look, this quill is even smart enough to scribble things out when it is told. Remind me to send the Healer a very nice and perhaps large bouquet of flowers when I leave.

I do hope this is enough detail and sufficient enough to cease a bit of your worrying at least.

004. Various Wards

Warded Private with extra-strong wards
The problem with investigations is it forces us, the Aurors, to dwell on such horrid events for longer than the general public. I am envious to those who were able to grieve and move on, particularly when it comes to this most recent case and the little three year old child. Three years old. Roger is 2; Lizzie is 4... the child was directly between the two of them, and would have, one day, been at Hogwarts with them.

This cause is haunting me. I keep picturing Roger or Lizzie every time I close my eyes and see the child.

The enemy is growing more vicious with their attacks and maneuvers. Worse yet, they are growing more frequent. This is worrisome, because the only reason for their recent activities is that they have found a new sense of boldness and confidence; they feel as if we are not a threat to them, the are not afraid, they are not worried.

An enemy that shows no fear for the law is a dangerous enemy indeed.

This weekend I fully intend on increasing the wards at my parents' house, as well as at Gretchen's. If nothing else, I will get both of those done. Sarah would probably hex me silly if I show up and try to strengthen their wards again, considering I've either done so or offered to do so everytime I've visited recently.

They cannot be underestimated, they cannot be predicted, and right now, there is no such thing as being to cautious.

Warded to Ministry Employees
We cannot be to cautious, particularly considering the recent events. If there is anyone who would like to have their wards strengthened upon their houses, or checked over, I am willing to do so after work hours. If I am unavailable to, I can recommend several fellow Aurors who are also very skilled with wards and safety.
End of Wards

Warded to Auror Trainees
The above message is especially true for you lot. Don't start with the "we can handle ourselves" tripe that I know you'll be quick to respond with; We are facing an extremely dangerous and vastly unpredictable enemy, before long they might start picking off the trainees and recruits to weaken the Ministry's defense from the bottom up. We cannot assume that we are simply 'safe enough'.

002. Warded Personal & Warded Private

Warded Personal - Sarah, Douglas, & Gretchen are able to read

The trainees needed a wake up call, but good Merlin I didn't mean that.

WArded Private
St. Mungo's... Diagon Alley... They are going after very public and prominent places... We up the security in places that have already been attacked, leaving other places vulnerable... leaving the Ministry more and more vulnerable...

They are relying on creating a media and gossip frenzy to foster fear and anger. Their attacks have been public and large scale, though they haven't been doing much in the way of actual harm. More injuries and destruction, and all things considered these are wizards who wouldn't hesitate to use very dark magic; why aren't they?

They're building up to something... the question is what and when? I need to attempt to think like one of them, maybe there will be a manner of predicting their next move.

002. Various Wards.

Warded: Private

This year's group of Auror Trainees are driving me utterly insane. I don't think it is possible to get through their entirely thick heads that they are now a member of the Auror department, and thus, need to care about their public image, as it is a direct reflection of the entire department. When they are partaking in juvenile antics, such as getting pissed drunk with one another, then they ought to be discreet about such activities. They do not know who they can trust, and they act as if they can trust the entire Wizarding world.

Bloody pissant teenagers. I think there should be an amendment for this department, that in order to apply one has to be over the age of 20. These teens have such a god damned immortality complex it's absolutely ridiculous.

Wait until they lose squad mates on the field, wait until they lay in the hospital injured, wait until their family is affected by the same dark wizards we hunt...

I worry about the state of this department.

McKinnon has to be the biggest disappointment in this year's class. For someone who grew up in an Auror family, with her father being as prominent within the department as he is, she doesn't seem to possess the level of decorum I would have expected.

It is a sad state of affairs when the Auror Trainees are only in this programme because it seems to have become a "fashion trend". If I had my way the lot of them would be suspended until they could find some maturity within.

Warded to Sarah
I need a break for the sake of my sanity. Would it be a bother if I stopped by for a visit next weekend?

End of Ward

Warded to Aurors -- NOT TRAINEES
Am I expecting too much from them? To ask them to maintain a public face that possesses decorum and maturity? This morning they were not happy, but I fear it was ineffective all the same, particularly after reading Miss McKinnon's entry that just oozes of cheek. If they do not learn to take their training and this department seriously than there is little hope for them. How to teach teenagers that they are not, in fact, invincible and always right, as most seem to believe? WHY THE BLOODY HELL DID I EVER SAY I WOULD BE A TRAINER>

Warded to Auror Trainees

I am only going to say this once, but you would do well to heed this advice: It does not do anyone any bit of good to act like utter idiots amongst the journaling network. You might be quite surprised to learn, as clearly this is beyond your intelligence levels, however, the journal network is public. Everyone has access to these, even the same wizards and witches you are going to eventually help bring to justice.

You have wands. If you insist on acting like fools than use a bloody WARD.

This entire department is going to collapse or get killed unless we begin getting recruits that AREN'T morons.
